Huaming New Tap-Changers Launched to the Market

Huaming launched 2 new tap-changers into the market: HWDK on-tank reactor type tap-changer and ZWC linear type de-energized tap-changer.

HWDK External Reactance Vacuum On-load Tap Changer is composed of one switching insert, one oil tank, one motor drive device, etc. HWDK is the on-load tap changer which installs the tap changer in one oil tank, and it has the following characteristics:

1. HWDK is reactance type vacuum on-load tap changer;
2. The vacuum interrupter breaks the current and extinguishes the arc. This design can ensure the tap changer is maintenance free.
3. The HWDK tap changer is completely separat from transformer. This can reduce pollution to the transformer oil.
4. HWDK tap changer is suitable for transformer with a maximum voltage of 40.5kV or72.5kV, a maximum three-phase current of 2000A, rated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz, and with three-phase connection method of D-connection or Y-connection.

This ZWC de-energized tap-changer is suitable for oil-immersed power transformers and special transformers, such as furnace or rectifier transformer with a rated frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, a maximum equipment voltage of 145kV and maximum rated current of 1000A.

Tap changing takes place when the transformer is de-energized, so as to change the transformer ratio and stabilize the output voltage. ZWC type tap-changer complies with IEC 60214-1: 2014 Tap Changers – Part 1: Performance requirement and test methods and IEEE Std C57.131-2012 Requirements for Load Tap Changers.
